Can my child play down a division?
Your child CAN NOT play down a division (with the group younger than them). Even if their birthday is the very last day of the year, they must play in their correct birth year division. This is because our insurance requires this and for everyone’s safety. The only exception is if they have a medical condition that necessitates they play down and a doctor’s note will be required.
Can my child play up a division?
Under some circumstances your child may play up (with a group older than them) if you feel it would be a better fit. If you choose to do this, please make note of it in your registration in the special request section. We will reach out to you to make sure it is a good fit.
Do you take player and coach requests?
You may request a friend to be on your child’s team. We can not guarantee we will be able to accommodate all requests, but you are welcome to put them in the special request section of the registration. This is also where you can request a certain coach.
When does the season begin?
First games will be scheduled in early-mid September. The season will end early-mid November. Games could be anytime on Saturday. U4, U6, U8 usually play only in the morning. It is up to your coach when practices will start, what day they will be on, and what location they will be at. Practices usually start mid August.
Where are practices and games?
Practices are required to be held at a Golden Valley School site. Your coach gets to determine which site they will use.
U4-U8 play all their games at Webster elementary.
U10-U14 play their games at RMS and at various sites in Fresno.
What is included with registration?
Your player will receive a uniform -shirt, shorts, and socks. You will need to provide cleats and shin guards for your player.
Will there be a seeding tournament?
Our u10-u14 divisions play with the Figarden league. Their league has decided not to do a seeding tournament or a end of season tournament. We will be hosting an in house end of season tournament for our Ranchos teams U8 and above in November.
